The meeting of the Donor Coordination Forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH / Sector for Coordination of International Economic Aid (MoFT/SCIA), organized the regular meeting of the Donor Coordination Forum (DCF) in Sarajevo on Tuesday, December 08th, 2015. The meeting was co-chaired by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, Mr Joseph Guntern, Director of Cooperation Office in the Swiss Embassy in Sarajevopresented to the DCF members and representatives of BiH Institutions the overall goals and elements of the new Swiss Cooperation Strategy 2017-2020, which will be oriented to similar goals, domains and themes as in the current Swiss Cooperation Strategy BiH 2013-2016.
Afterwards, Ms Ruvejda Aliefendic, WBG Private Sector Development Specialist, presented the new WBG - BiH Country Partnership Framework (CPF) 2016-2020, highlighting the World Bank Group engagement cycle in BiH and the formulation of the new CPF along with the Systematic Country Diagnostics (SDC) which identified challenges and priorities in BiH.
Thereafter, the representative from the UNDP, Mr Armin Sirco, UNDP Senior Coordinator/ Sector Leader for Social Inclusion and Democratic Governance briefly presented key achievements and current status of the TB and HIV programmes: status and transition to national ownership, and future challenges in B&H. UNDP expressed its committment to continue supporting combating HIV and TB in BiH through the approved Transition plans and is seeking partners in BiH to fund those activities of importance for the country.
Ms Edina Topcagic, Head of Section, Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, presented the Donor Mapping Report (DMR) 2014 and main findings and emerging trendsrelated to development cooperationin 2014, emphasisingthe disproportion between the total ODA allocations and disbursements, indicating the necessity to speed up the process of funds realization in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the forthcoming period.
At Tour de table DCF members and representatives of domestic institutions were invited to share the information on the new and planned projects, exchange the opinions on their current and future activities, positive experiences as well as challenges they are facing.
Also, DCF participants discussed the latest information related to floods assistance. Herewith, Massimo Mina, Head of Operations section, EUD, briefly presented the EU Floods Recovery Support which included EU pledge for BiH Flood Recovery, EU Flood Recovery Programme, EU Special Measures on floods in BiH and EU Special Mesures on floods- mulit country and CBC Programme BiH-Serbia.
